Hey Gnome 1.4, XMMS called.. It wants you to come join it!

Cardoe wrote this in the wee hours:

So now that we’ve finally shoveled XMMS out of the tree or at least begun the process. The next big one I propose is Gnome 1.4. This one should come with far less controversy then XMMS had since the Gnome 1.4 replacement is liked and works great. I’ve created a bug for this, #154102. I’ve also created a thread on the gentoo-dev mailing list. There’s even bug #141515 to remove Gnome 2.10.

cairo 1.2.6

Cardoe wrote this late at night:

Cairo 1.2.6 has been released. Why am I blogging about it? Just to show the community that I’m aware of the release before any bugs are filed. I’m actually writing this blog entry about 2 hours and 40 minutes after the release but I’ve known about the release for that entire time. Why’d I wait to write the blog post? I had to watch Louisville STICK it to West Virginia, since they’re so freaking over ranked and play NOBODY this year. Unfortunately, Louisville will probably just trade places with WV and the Gators will remain at #4.

Anyway, got sidetracked with football. The cairo 1.2.6 release is relatively minor in the scheme of Gentoo things. They’ve done some clean ups and some fixes here and there but there’s nothing WOW AMAZING! in this release. The only nice thing is I now get to close the bugs people have created by yanking portions of the 1.2.6 CVS (I refuse to refer to git since it’s overrated like West Virgina), example

Jakub, please point rev bump bugs to this blog entry. Thank you.
