Gentopia & Gentoo Experimental
Cardoe wrote this terribly early in the morning:
So I’m getting really annoyed with Gentoo Experimental. The Gentopia overlay has been up and down so often, the connection hasn’t been reliable at all. Now finally it’s suppose to be steady like a rock but many people can’t access it even though I can. So basically this is a plea for help.
Can anyone provide us some reliable hosting?

Would be great to have a reliable (or even working) host.
I’m currently getting:
”
Mod_python error: “PythonHandler trac.ModPythonHandler”
Traceback (most recent call last):
File “/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/mod_python/apache.py”, line 287, in HandlerDispatch
log=debug)
File “/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/mod_python/apache.py”, line 454, in import_module
f, p, d = imp.find_module(parts[i], path)
ImportError: No module named ModPythonHandler

Hi cardoe,
Maybe I can offer an gentoo linux virtual private server hosted at http://www.bytemark.co.uk to share with gentopia people.
RAM Disc space [2] Traffic Backup space
80MB 4GB 25GB 1GB
I use it for family/friends’s email, jabber, blog. so I believe there is space for something more that will fit storage and bandwidth. If you don’t find anything better feel free to drop me an email.
I appreciate *vision* and *work* of gentopia team.

Try the people at TextDrive, they support a number of open source projects.

I have just tried to access the Gentopia overlay and failed to connect.
Also - I just tried connecting to the Gentopia web site and got the following message on a web page:
Mod_python error: “PythonHandler trac.ModPythonHandler”
Traceback (most recent call last):
File “/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/mod_python/apache.py”, line 287, in HandlerDispatch
log=debug)
File “/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/mod_python/apache.py”, line 454, in import_module
f, p, d = imp.find_module(parts[i], path)
ImportError: No module named ModPythonHandler
I take it from your post above that you are involved with Gentopia and can therefore see to it that the error is passed onto the website administrator.
Regards,
David
