dbus & hal aficionados

dbus & hal aficionados will be happy, I’ve unmasked dbus-0.3x and hal-0.5.x on Gentoo. So they should be hitting a ~arch near you. Please update and test your software. Please test USB plugging functionality. These new releases will be required for the new Gnome release.

    Installed and tested - automounting of media (my thumbdrive and digital camera) works perfectly - even better than it did beforehand - though now several packages refuse to compile or even run. Totem 1.0.4 is the most notable of those for me (perhaps 1.2.0 will fare better).

    Yes. Totem 1.0.4 dep’d on old hal/dbus which the maintainer of totem never listed so I had no idea when I first got patches for all the things affected.

    Glad it’s working well.
